Global Energy Up is an independent certification body for management systems and a validation and verification body for greenhouse-gas information. We audit and decide; we do not consult.

The body that audits is not the body that builds the system.
We carry out third-party audits of management systems and grant certification when objective evidence shows that the system conforms to the standard and is effectively implemented. We operate to ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015; accreditation is in progress, so certificates are currently issued without an accreditation mark.
Every file passes through three separate layers: an audit by a competent team, an independent technical review, and a decision by an authorised person who took no part in the audit.

Standards we certify
Ten management-system standards. Every certificate names the edition audited, and the transition periods set for new editions are applied.
The certificate cycle in three phases

Initial certification
Stage 1 and Stage 2 audits, followed by an independent certification decision.
02.
Surveillance
Surveillance audits in years one and two; the first within twelve months of the certification decision.
03.
Recertification
A recertification audit and decision before expiry, starting a new three-year cycle.
How findings are graded
We use three categories only, and each is recorded with its evidence.
Major nonconformity
Failure to fulfil a requirement that affects the system’s capability to achieve its intended results, or significant doubt that effective control is in place. Correction and corrective action are verified before the decision.
Minor nonconformity
Failure to fulfil a requirement that does not affect the system’s capability to achieve its intended results. An accepted plan for correction and corrective action is required before the decision.
Opportunity for improvement
A note that is not a nonconformity, given without recommending specific solutions or providers.
Combined audits
Where an organization runs more than one system in an integrated way, several standards can be audited in one visit. Duration is first calculated for each standard, then adjusted for the degree of integration the auditor actually confirms — not the degree claimed in the application.

- What do you need to prepare a quotation?
- Does remote auditing reduce audit time?No. Audit time is calculated independently of the delivery method, and remote auditing never reduces the time required.
- When is a certificate suspended or withdrawn?On persistent or serious failure to meet requirements, refusal of a surveillance or recertification audit at the required time, or misuse of the certificate or mark. Suspension normally does not exceed six months.
- How can a certificate be verified?Through the certificate check. We confirm its status, scope, sites and validity in writing.
