Global Energy Up is a certification body for management systems and a validation and verification body for greenhouse-gas information. We audit and decide; we do not consult.

Auditor inspecting equipment on an industrial site

Management system certification against ISO standards.

We carry out third-party audits of management systems and grant certification when objective evidence shows the system conforms to the standard and is effectively implemented. We operate to ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015; accreditation is in progress, so certificates are currently issued without an accreditation mark.

We do not design, implement or write management systems, and we never certify a system on which a group entity has provided consultancy. Each certification decision is taken by a competent person who did not take part in the audit.

  • Two-stage initial certification audit
  • Combined audits across several standards
  • Annual surveillance audits
  • Recertification every three years
  • Independent review of every decision
  • Certificate scope defined by sites and activities

The certification cycle

A certificate runs on a three-year cycle and stays valid only while surveillance audits are passed.

01.
Stage 1

Review of system documentation and readiness, confirmation that internal audit and management review are in place, and planning of Stage 2.

02.
Stage 2

On-site evaluation of implementation and effectiveness; any major or minor nonconformities are recorded.

03.
Decision & surveillance

An independent decision once corrections are accepted, surveillance audits in years one and two, and recertification before expiry.

Combined audits

Where an organization runs more than one system in an integrated way, several standards can be audited in one visit. Audit duration is calculated for each standard and then adjusted for the actual degree of integration.

  • When can a certificate be suspended or withdrawn?
On persistent or serious failure to meet requirements, refusal of a surveillance audit, or misuse of the certificate or mark. The client is informed in writing of the decision and of the right to appeal.
  • How can a certificate be verified?
Send the certificate number and organization name to contact@energy-up.co and we will confirm its status and scope in writing.
